3 years ago, on a trip to visit family, I got to experience many important Marshall family landmarks, the Rosa Parks Museum, the Civil Rights Monument/Museum and got to take a private tour through Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s house and the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church thanks to my Great Aunt. At the time I didn’t realize how fortunate I was to be seeing the his house in it’s original state, his bed, their kitchen, the children’s rooms, and standing at the podium he preached at, siting in the chair he wrote his sermons every Sunday.
Happy Martin Luther King Day
